Privacy Policy

What Stays On Your Device

The simulator saves your landing count, selected aircraft and control bindings in your browser's local storage (key pixel-flight-sim.profile). It never leaves your device. If ads are enabled, your ad choice is stored the same way (key psf.consent.v1). The random ID used by the online counter lives in session storage (key psf.presence.v1) and is deleted when you close the tab. Clear your browser data to remove all of them.

What We Collect

There are no accounts and no sign-up. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count visits and measure page speed in aggregate; they do not set cookies and we do not use them to identify you. Our host (Vercel) processes technical request data such as your IP address and user agent to deliver the site and keep it secure, and keeps ordinary server logs, kept for the period set by Vercel's own policy. We do not run error monitoring that identifies you.

Online Counter

The footer shows how many people have Pixel Pilot open right now. Your browser sends a random ID for each open tab every two minutes. Our server keeps the IDs for five minutes, returns only the total and then deletes them. Our code does not store your IP address, location, browser details or cookies with an ID, and it does not write the IDs to logs. The number is an estimate: anyone who sends IDs by hand can change it.

Third Parties

  • Hosting: Vercel Inc. serves the site and its API routes.
  • Online counter storage: Upstash, a database service, holds the anonymous IDs described above for five minutes. Our server reaches it; your browser does not.
  • Terrain data: your browser downloads elevation tiles from Amazon Web Services (s3.amazonaws.com), which sees your IP address when it does.
  • Air traffic: the aircraft around you are simulated by default and no outside service is asked. If real air traffic is switched on, our server asks the open adsb.lol network for aircraft positions, so your IP address is not sent to it.
  • Weather: our server asks the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (MET Norway) for the weather around the place you fly, using a coordinate rounded to a cell of about 28 km. Your browser never calls it, so your IP address is not sent to it.
  • Buy Me a Coffee (only if you press its button on the Support page): it handles the payment and has its own privacy policy and cookies, which apply once you leave this site.
  • Ads (only if enabled): see below.

Donations In Crypto

A crypto donation is a transfer on a public blockchain. The amount, the sending address and the receiving address are visible to anyone. We do not receive your name, email or contact details through a transfer, unless you write to us yourself.

Advertising

When ads are enabled, the site can show small ads in the side margins on wide screens, served by Google AdSense, which may set cookies or similar identifiers and process data such as your IP address and device details to select and measure ads. Where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), a Google-certified consent message asks you first and ads are limited until you answer. You can change your choice at any time:

Sponsors who buy space on the Advertise page receive no data about players from us.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are answered by the steps above. Contact: taimirmoralesc@gmail.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the age set by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this page. The date at the top shows the latest version.
